New ASTM E11-09 Standards for Woven Wire Mesh
ASTM International (the American Society for Testing and Materials) is a not-for-profit organization that works with international companies to develop and publish standards for products, materials, systems, and even services. The members who volunteer their time to ASTM's causes are made up of users, producers, government officials, and academics (from over 130 countries).
The standards that are developed by ASTM are incorporated into designs that companies make. Scientist and engineers will use the latest standards to ensure that their products and systems work optimally.
The ASTM is continually updating standards, so that they can fit with changing and expanding technology. One of the newest changes that the ASTM has published is regarding standards for wire mesh test sieves (ASTM Standard E11-09). The ASTM can certify companies that produce test sieves under the ASTM’s specific guidelines.
Sieves that are created using these standards will have calibrated materials, opening sizes, and will ensure optimal performance and life expectancy.
Not only does the ASTM regulate standards, but also so does the ISO (International Organization for Standardization). Professional wire mesh companies that create products that are up to date with current ISO and ASTM standards will be top of the line wire mesh test sieves.
